The National Weather Service’s San Francisco Bay Area Forecast Office utilized its satellite field office here at San Francisco State to brief the Bay Area media on an impending change to hazardous weather and an outlook for what might be expected for the remaining winter months given a developing El Nino in the tropical Pacific.  Representatives from the Sacramento forecast office were also in attendance

NWS Briefs Bay Area Media on Upcoming Major Weather Change

Meteorologists-in-charge (MIC) from the SF Bay Area (Dave Reynolds)  and Sacramento (Dan Keeton)  WFOs were present, as well as the Science Operations Officer (SOO) (Bill Rasch) from Sacramento and the Warning Coordination Officer (WCM) (Tom Evans) from SF Bay Area.
