Groundwater budget

Based on:

• precipitation: data comes from rainfall maps
• landuse: the recharge area is subdivided in to landuse zones and each of them  is assigned a relative water use factor.
• evapotranspiration where the Merced is exposed
• infiltration of irrigation: based on irrigation efficiency (about 60%) and amount of irrigation water used by the golf clubs and cemeteries
• leakage from water and sewer pipes: about 4%
