Students who wish to have a web link on the Department of Geosciences Home Page (http://tornado.sfsu.edu) should:
- contact John Monteverdi by email and provide the following: (a) full name; (b) email address (if desired);(c) a phone number (if desired); (d) a URL to a personal website (if desired); (e) a recent jpeg or gif* (required);
- please be aware that university guidelines are strict about the type of material that can be placed directly on a university webserver. Hence, all students wishing a web presence via the Dept. of Geosciences Home Page must have a uniform opening page (template set up by John Monteverdi);
- a link to the student's own website either on SFSU servers or elsewhere, not subject to Dept. oversight, and not subject to university rules will be placed on the opening page for the student;
- neither the Department of Geosciences nor John Monteverdi wish to "police" the links to student home pages off site...but students should be aware of university rules regarding appropriate content.
*Pictures need not be "mug" shots, but please be the only person in the picture (please, there are privacy concerns about putting other people's pictures on websites) AND recognizable...no costumes, masks, pictures of pets etc.
