Right Moving Tornadic Supercell
in San Joaquin Valley, 11/22/96

This storm also exhibited other behavior typical of supercell thunderstorms. In particular, it showed "deviate" motion. That is to say, while other cells in the region were moving from west to east or southwest to northeast, this storm moved from northwest to southeast. Its motion was also "off the hodograph," as will be illustrated in another section of these pages.
