Favorable CAPE and somewhat favorable shear in northeastern Colorado. We were hoping for development along a boundary which was advecting northwestward out of Nebraska. This shows the low level cumulus field which developed along the boundary. We did an extensive transect of this feature.

Andy Ervin near McCook, Nebraska: Do you trust this man? Big storms developed in Nebraska panhandle and then translated east southeast towards us. Initially, we tried to get to them. At the time of this photo, the storm behind (north) of Andy had a Tornado Warning on it.

On the way to Nebraska, we passed a high-base downburst-producing storm.
