In-Text Citation Examples: This is an example of how to properly reference an idea in the body of the paper.

Cyclone development can be estimated on the basis of the vorticity tendency at an isobaric level in the lower troposphere. For example, Palmen and Newton (1969, pp. 318-321) point out that cyclone development can be linked to vorticity advection at the Level of Non-Divergence (LND) and the pattern of thickness changes, via the Sutcliffe-Petterssen Development Equation (SPDE).

...alternatively, one may say something like "...cyclone development can be linked to vorticity advection at the Level of Non-Divergence (LND) and pattern of thickness changes through the layer from the ground to the LND, via the Sutcliffe-Petterssen Development Equation (SPDE) (Palmen and Newton, 1969, pp. 318-321)..."

In Bluestein, you can reference the concept table on the omega equation (page 339) and in Djuric, pages 119-120.
